Feedback and Lessons Learned
1. Simplicity and Setup Assistance are Key
One of our most significant realizations is that users prefer widgets that are ready to use out of the box. Many clients have requested assistance with setup, highlighting the importance of a streamlined onboarding process. While users become more comfortable editing settings once they're familiar with the system, we've identified a clear need for user-friendly setup processes and, potentially, edit capabilities in future iterations.
2. Performance and speed Trumps Decentralization (For Now)
Contrary to our initial assumptions, we've found that decentralization isn't always the primary selling point for our clients. Many Web3 companies still host their dApps and interfaces centrally. The key factors that resonate most with our users are speed, efficiency, and security. This insight has led us to consider offering two distinct options:
a) A fully decentralized solution using USDC payments, Tableland, and IPFS b) A more traditional approach with a centralized database and credit card payments
This flexibility could help us cater to a broader range of clients, including those who prefer conventional invoicing and payment methods.
3. Bridging the Gap Between "Nice to Have" and "Must-Have"
We're acutely aware of the risks associated with creating a product that's merely "nice to have" rather than addressing a critical pain point. While we believe in the potential of Web3Wizz to solve significant problems, we recognize the need for further development and more targeted marketing to fully realize this potential.
Real-World Application: Blocksquare Case Study
Our recent collaboration with Blocksquare has provided a perfect example of how Web3Wizz can address real-world needs. We developed an interactive panel for their smart contract tokenization initialization steps, transforming a manual process into a streamlined, user-friendly interface. This project not only showcased our capabilities but also highlighted the practical applications of our technology in the realm of real-world asset (RWA) tokenization.
Next Steps
Based on our experiences and the feedback received, we've outlined several key steps for the near future:
- Develop an 'Examples' Page: We plan to create a dedicated page showcasing the various interfaces we've built. This will serve as a powerful demonstration of our capabilities and help potential clients visualize how Web3Wizz can benefit their projects.
- Enhance Onboarding and Setup: We'll focus on creating more intuitive setup processes and consider developing edit capabilities to improve user experience.
- Expand Payment and Hosting Options: We'll work on implementing the dual-track approach, offering both decentralized and centralized solutions to cater to diverse client needs.
- Refine Marketing Strategy: We'll concentrate on highlighting the pain points that Web3Wizz solves, emphasizing its potential to streamline processes and improve efficiency in the Web3 space.
- Continue Building in Public: We remain committed to sharing our journey, believing that transparency can foster trust and potentially inspire others in the Web3 community.
Conclusion
These early interactions with live users have been incredibly enlightening, challenging some of our initial assumptions and providing clear direction for our path forward. As we continue to refine Web3Wizz, we're more excited than ever about its potential to make a significant impact in the Web3 ecosystem.
We're grateful for the trust placed in us by early adopters like Blocksquare and FX1, and we look forward to serving more clients and continuing to learn and grow. The journey of building both an application and a business around it is complex, but we're committed to sharing our experiences every step of the way.
Stay tuned for more updates as we progress on this exciting journey!
